Maternity and Newborn

The first days of a child's life — and the last days before it begins — are among the most fleeting a family will ever know. I spent years trying to capture that feeling and these photographs remain a quiet reminder of why I picked up a camera in the first place.

I no longer book or newborn sessions and seldom have opportunity for maternity portraits, but I couldn't bring myself to take these images down. This chapter of my work taught me a great deal about patience, tenderness, and the weight of a moment. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.
