Home Field Advantage: A Tri County Senior Session
Camden wanted his senior session built around everything he’s already part of at Tri County — no driving across town for five different backdrops, just one campus and a handful of completely different looks. Between football, marching band, baseball, and his own Camaro parked out back, we didn’t need to leave school property once.
Up on the Uprights
Climbing onto the goal post was Camden’s idea before we even got to the field — he showed up with a ladder already loaded in the truck. It made for one of my favorite shots of the whole session: storm clouds rolling in behind him, holding his helmet like it’s the most normal place in the world to sit. If you’ve got an idea for a shot, even one that takes some extra setup, it’s worth bringing up. The best frames are usually the ones nobody else thought to ask for.
Snare and Scoreboard
Camden plays both sides of a Friday night — football under the lights and drumline on the field before kickoff. We set him up in front of the scoreboard with his helmet stacked on top of his snare drum, one shot doing the work of two different parts of his fall. A senior session doesn’t need to pick just one activity to represent — bring the gear from all of them and let the photos sort it out.
Two Jerseys, One Diamond
Camden plays baseball for Tri County too, and we shot him both on the mound in his game jersey and leaning against the dugout post in the team’s away colors. Two uniforms, one diamond, and neither shot looks like it came from the same session at a glance — which is exactly the kind of variety a home field can give you without ever leaving it.
The Camaro
No senior session is complete without featuring what you actually drive, and Camden’s white Z28 convertible earned its spot in the lineup. A car like that doesn’t need much help — clean light, a little shine, and a pose that says it’s his. If you’ve got something with a little personality sitting in the driveway, don’t leave it out of the shot list.
